Good morning, John.
I wanted to send a quick update before the weekend because it's important to me that I stay in touch with all of you throughout this campaign.
Today marks two months since we launched our campaign and I couldn't be happier with our progress so far.
In just two months we've held launch events in Tucson and Phoenix, we've been able to hire more staff to keep our campaign running smoothly, and we were able to raise $4 million before our first ever FEC fundraising deadline.
We did all of that because of the support you've shown in these early days. But campaigns like this are expensive and since we are rejecting corporate PAC money we need to keep up the hard work. So, if you can, please make a donation today. It would mean a lot.
I can't thank you enough for supporting me and this mission for our shared values.
Thank you in advance for chipping in and keeping our campaign going, we couldn't do this without you.

We want to keep you up to date on the progress of the universal background checks bill in the Senate.
We have been working around the clock to keep this bill front and center and it's your support that allows us to keep up the fight.
Because it's small donations from emails like this that allow us to lobby senators, testify before Congress, share your stories to raise awareness, or rally our neighbors and friends to get out and protest.
We're pressuring Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans and we can't let up for a second. That's why your voice and your support is so important.
Will you make a $10 donation to our campaign to pressure the Senate to hold a debate and a vote on universal background checks? Your support in addition to pressure from activists around the country will give us the edge we need to demand change.
Support for universal background checks continues to pour in from all corners of the country and people are fed up with Senate Republicans' refusal to act.
Mitch McConnell is hoping that if he stalls for long enough then we will forget or give up. But he's wrong.
We're going to keep fighting until this bill and the families who have lost loved ones get the vote they deserve.
