     In Chicago, since Ruth Love, the continuing disgrace against vocational or occupational education. Clearly vocational education is a success.

     Aristotelian philosophy of the three R's, reading, writing, and arithmetic won out long ago in Chicago and other places around the U.S. AKA wrong, wronger and worst.

     Look at U.S. now, with critical shortages of qualified employees in all of the trade vocations closed then.  All the while, since WW1, vocational education, auto shop, wood shop, metal shop, farming schools,  cooking, nursing, hone economics for women and many other good trade shop programs of massive success were the model to the nation, now canned. At one time, Chicago had the very best vocational schools in the country, CVS, Lane Tech and the great Wasburne Trade School.

     The need for these programs now is bigger than ever. Has anyone forgot we need teachers, nurses, mechanics, just to name a few of the massive shortages of good people. Jobs to be filled stateside and for at least a generation to come. Good jobs, good people with know how we need them now.

     Print dispensers need total clean up in Chicago. At Damen & North Ave, there are ten filthy nasty not in use print advertising or newspaper boxes that add to the filth of the immediate CTA station and area. This same scene is repeated in many other areas around the city. No longer in use are these dispensers they add to the detraction of those areas and breed more filth.

     All print dispensers should now be done away with. The newspaper box is now obsolete due to the Internet and other factors. Let a newspaper salesman or woman sell the papers on site and then exit when completed leaving a clean area for all. This should include Red Eye.

     No dispensers should be granted city licenses for dispensers and or much tougher rules are needed regarding those nasty print dispensers. The first thing to do is to throw those ugly print dispensers in the garbage truck.
